Independent Study Methods – Study at Your Own Pace in Your Own Place
Our Internet Classes are one of our students’ favorite methods of study. Class materials are posted on the Internet for easy access at any time from any location. These materials include the class study guide, streaming audio lectures, a message board to post questions about your class, a link to the our Electronic Library, etc. Each class is completed at your own pace.
Our Correspondence Classes are designed for students that are not entirely comfortable using the Internet for academic study. Class materials are delivered by UPS or postal mail, and include the class study guide, audio lectures on CD-ROM or in MP3 format. Students are encouraged to use the our Electronic Library and other online resources. Each class is completed at your own pace over the length of time on the registration.
Our DVD Classes combine the best features of our Internet Delivered Classes and our Correspondence Classes. Class materials are delivered through the mail, including a DVD of video lectures. Students are encouraged to use our Electronic Library and other online resources. Each class is completed at your own pace over the length of time on the registration.
Online Study Methods – Study with Others Online for a Set Time
Online Courses are rapidly becoming one of our most popular study methods. All course materials are posted and completed through an interactive online classroom. In online courses, students interact with each other and the instructor by participating in online discussions on a weekly basis. Immediately following the online discussions, students have a specified period of time to complete final assignments for the course. Each course is completed in full in a specified number of weeks.
Classroom Study Methods – Study with Others Face-To-Face at a Set Time and Place
Our Regional Seminars bring students together for traditional face-to-face lectures and discussions with an instructor for 1 or 2 days. Pre-seminar study is encouraged. Students return home after the seminar to complete the remaining course requirements at their own pace. Regional Seminars are offered around the country in 1 and 2 day formats, allowing students to take one or more seminars at a time.
Intensive Seminars consist of 4 days of traditional face-to-face study with an instructor. Seminar readings and assignments are completed prior to the seminar. Following the seminar, students have 30 days to complete all remaining course requirements.
